Travelling day, I got to Kokkola quite late around 23.00 o’clock. The journey was nice.<\/p>\n

Was our first on Arrival Training day. We made different type of games and team building activities. We got our bikes, which with we can get to Villa Elba from Villa Marina. We get to know each other, and the place.<\/p>\n

Was our 2nd on Arrival Training day. We had different type of games and tasks. One of them is seen on the photo. We were thinking about our motivations as volunteers, and about the competences of the perfect volunteers. We were working in groups too, and solved creative tasks, as creating video, photo and audio.<\/p>\n

\u202213. August was our 3rd on Arrival training day. We were thinking about conflict management and cultural specialities. We did it on an interactive way with many games. In the forenoon, we were working in groups. In the evening we went for a short biking.<\/p>\n

We had our first free day. We visited the city, watched the library and the parks of the city, had some ice cream. We went by bike. In the afternoon we had beautiful weather, we went to the lighthouse.<\/p>\n

The troll path has a station called labyrinth. We cleaned that place, and arranged the stones. In the forenoon we had brainstorming about the decorations, and games what we can create in the path. We were talking about the tasks.<\/p>\n

We were survey the path, and create a map, about it. We signed on the map where do we need to put new signs, were we need tu repair them. We searched for materials, and created the first plans.<\/p>\n

I collected the old signs on the path, removed on them the old paints, and repainted them.<\/p>\n

At the weekend we have freedays.<\/p>\n

Today I was working on the fishing game. There is a boat on the path. We plan to create a fishing game next to is. I created the fishing gear for this reason. On the photo there is the garden of our accomodation, called Villa Marina. We have a sauna tent there. It was amazing to have sauna today evening, and then the splashing in the Baltic sea.<\/p>\n

We were working on the path, creating new games, cleaning and decorating. In the afternoon some of us went to te shop. Three of us stayed in the Villa Elba, we cooked blueberry soup, what we picked in front of our accomodation.<\/p>\n

Was again a freeday. I picked blueberries, do the laundry. In the afternoon I visited the swimming pool in Kokkola. On Thursdays they have a special sauna, called smoke sauna. This is the type of the sauna, what they used long time ago. In the evening we watched a finnish comedy and ate delicious Ukrainian food.“<\/p>\n

\u202225. August<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Was another free day. This weekend was Kokkola’s Venecian Night Festival, the biggest celebretion in Kokkola. This is the end of the summer, when people move from their summer houses back to the city. On Friday evening we went to the city, and enjoyed this event.<\/p>\n

\u202226. August<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We had beautiful weather. We did archery before noon. We had lunch in the garden. In the afternoon we had a beautiful bike trip to \u00d6ja. In the evening we watched some fireworks from the landing stage behind our backyard and then watched our lit up street: the summer houses with the candles in front of them.“<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I went on a bike route to an island called Ohtakari. It was a long road, but worth to make it. The sea is beautiful there, on the small island are old fishing houses, and stones in shape of a maze.<\/p>\n

We continued our work on the path. Today I painted mainly the fishes, for the fishing game. On the troll path there is a boat and our idea is, to create a pond near to it- might be with the help of a bucket -where children can play to catch wooden fishes.“<\/p>\n

We have finished the fishing game for the path, and placed it next to the boat. In the afternoon we had beautiful weather, and we made a small trip by bikes next to the coast.<\/p>\n

I started to draw and paint a new decoration for the path. It rained a lot, so we were mainly at home, and have a dinner together.<\/p>\n

I finished my drawing for the path, and another volunteer, called Fedir attached it. Today we finished the whole path. In the afternoon 60 children came to visit te path, and play with the games, which we had prepared in the last weeks.<\/p>\n

It was absolutely amazing, I’m glad I took part in this project!<\/p>\n
