This week we had a wonderful opportunity to visit 4 schools, where our volunteer Ana from Georgia presented Georgian Christmas - how it is celebrated in Georgia, what are their traditions, customs, and what is important to them during the holidays.
A total of approximately 90 pupils and students also learned more about the country of Georgia itself, its culture, writing, and in some schools, about volunteering and the European Solidarity Corps program.
The students listened with great interest, practiced their English, asked Ana interesting questions, and took away a lot of new knowledge. We are all the more pleased that they enthusiastically invited Ana to give more presentations in the new year.
This experience was beneficial for both parties and we are already looking forward to returning in the New Year - with new topics, ideas, and also new schools that we have not yet had the opportunity to visit.
