Small-Scale Partnerships (small partnerships) in the Erasmus+ programme are simpler and more flexible international cooperation projects, which are mainly intended for smaller organisations, starting project coordinators or organisations without previous experience with European projects. Their main aim is to enable these organisations to try out international cooperation, build capacity and share good practices without complicated administration.
They must join the Small-Scale Partnership project at least two organizations from two different countries, which are part of the Erasmus+ programme. The duration of the projects ranges from 6 to 24 months. Unlike larger partnerships, these projects are financed through flat-rate grants of either €30,000 or €60,000, depending on the scope and complexity of the planned activities.
Small partnership projects can include various activities, such as exchanging good practices in youth work, developing new methodologies and tools, organising training workshops and seminars, or piloting innovative approaches. An important part is also building the capacity of the organisations themselves to better engage in European cooperation in the future.
Small partnerships are especially suitable for non-profit organizations, local and regional associations, or new organizations that want to take the first step towards international projects. The advantage is simpler administration, lower financial and organizational requirements, and the opportunity to gain practical experience in implementing a European project.
The Small-Scale Partnerships grant covers all costs associated with the project, including personnel costs, travel, preparation of materials, organization of events, and dissemination of results.
