Nino a Luka (7.7. – 5.9.2025)
For the third time, the Connectus civic association is implementing the volunteer project "Sustainability and Greener Life", which this year takes place during the summer in the premises of the historic Žrebčín in Kopčany.
During the months of July and August, two young volunteers from Georgia – Luka and Nino – joined the project. Their activities are focused on promoting sustainability, restoring historical spaces and helping the local community. The volunteers are involved in a variety of activities, such as:
- interior decoration: painting walls and art paintings in the Žrebčín premises,
- improvement and modification of the surrounding area: renovation and improvement of the children's playground,
- renovation of local information boards, flower pots and small elements of public space,
- support of Žrebčín and restoration of the historical area of Žebčín: cleaning, minor repairs.
Starting August 1st, a larger group of young people from Spain, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Georgia, and Slovakia will join the volunteers. Over the next 20 days, they will continue with other activities focused on improving the space and supporting the community.
We thank the Municipality of Kopčany for their cooperation and support, and we look forward to all the positive changes that young volunteers will bring about through their work. This project is supported by the European Solidarity Corps program.
