Young People from Connectus and Gymnázium F. V. Sasinka Shined at the Erasmus+ Project Idea Labs in Slovenia
From 17 to 23 April 2026, participants sent by our organization Connectus in cooperation with Gymnázium F. V. Sasinka took part in the international Erasmus+ youth exchange called Idea Labs, which took place in Slovenia. The project focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and the practical development of young people’s skills.
The youth exchange brought together participants from Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy, and Cyprus, who spent the week collaborating, sharing experiences, and developing ideas in an international environment.
The main aim of the project was to empower young people to explore entrepreneurial opportunities at local, European, and international levels. The programme focused on creativity, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovative thinking. Participants worked with methods such as design thinking, learned business fundamentals, and analysed real-life examples from the Slovenian and wider European entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The highlight of the programme was an intensive Hackathon competition, where teams had 24 hours to create an innovative solution to a given challenge and present it to an expert jury.
Our participants achieved excellent results:
🏆 Schwach a Formánek získali skvelé 4. miesto s projektom „Filtrácia antikoncepcie z vodovodnej vody“, ktorý sa venoval environmentálnej téme a kvalite vody.
🥉 Látalová, Kudláč, Stronček a Kalamen obsadili výborné 3. miesto s projektom „Eco Roof Solutions“. Ich riešenie zaujalo natoľko, že bolo posunuté investorom na Americkej ambasáde v Slovinsku.
We are proud that the young people representing Connectus and Gymnázium F. V. Sasinka succeeded in strong international competition, presented their ideas, and developed valuable competences for their future.
We would like to thank all participants for their great representation and courage to turn ideas into action.
The Idea Labs project was supported by the Erasmus+ Programme, which opens doors for young people to education, international cooperation, and personal growth.
